BACKGROUND
This is a Level 2 BBBEE Logistics Company which commenced formal trading in 2003 with a view to secure market share in co-ordinating transportation for the logistics industry.
We service a wide range of clientele pre-dominantly in the Durban area and throughout South Africa. There are currently two shareholders, namely Ananda Moortee Appadoo and Leeresh Haripasath.
The members are Durban based and come from humble beginnings and all achievements to date have been based on hard work, commitment and honesty.
The company’s aim is to secure a good share of the fresh produce market and general cargo markets. The operation is in its growth stage and whilst the members have made capital contributions, there is a need for additionally assistance to allow the business to reach its potential.
Both shareholders initially worked for the P.L Maharaj Group in the 90’s and with the employer closing down, they had decided to enter this ruthless industry and work for themselves.
Their trade contacts and reputation in the market have assisted them in securing some minor work as they traded on a very small scale until 2002. The formal trading commenced in 2003 with the close corporation registered. The group comprise of the following entities:
Dezzo Trading 416 cc t/a D.C Logistics which is purely the brokering side of the operation. A subsidiary venture called D.C Logistics operates with various cargo carriers which includes 8 Ton Pantech / Tautliner, 12 Ton Tautliner / Flatbed, Tri-axle Tautliner / Flatbed, Superlinks Tautliner / Flatbed.
A second business commenced in 2004 trading as Transrite Logistics cc. This entity consists of 12 ton trucks and operates as an autonomous entity.
This venture sub-contracts to the broking operation which has allowed D.C & Logistics to commit to their clients to retain a competitive edge.

Efficient and accurate scheduling of loads ensures timeous deliveries to the desired destinations. Our vehicles are able to handle bulk loading over long distance with 24 hour support. Each vehicle is monitored by BIDTRACK to ensure a high standard of safety. Live tracking of the vehicles and updates are available to offer assurance to our clients, that every care is taken.
CLEANLINESS
DC & Logistics is extremely particular over the care of their vehicles. Drivers and support staff ensure compliance to the highest standards of customer satisfaction. Because of the diversity of goods being transported, our vehicles are meticulously cleaned after each delivery to prevent cross contamination.
GIT – LIABILITY COVER
D.C & Logistics carries the necessary insurance pertaining to the trucking industry enabling us to operate responsibly. We comply with standard health and safety operating procedures as per SQAS to provide our customers with confidence in the services we provide.
With SQAS being implemented in all areas of vehicle inspections, maintenance, pre-employment screening and training provided to our drivers to ensure that DC & Logistics meets all possible requirements.
